HVAC 2.0 Contact Form

Hints provide a script to read to the client.
We have three goals here: schedule a visit; send them HVAC 101; and get further info about a Comfort Consult.

READ: Thanks for calling ___{company}___. This is ___{name}___ in ___{city}____. How may I help you?

For Service: schedule the client's appointment according to your company process.
For Replacement: READ: Great, we have four questions for replacements that take 10 minutes or less. Is this a good time for those?
If they don't have time, get their email and let them know you will send them a guide to the different types of HVAC that clients have found helpful, then set a time to call them back to schedule.

Do you mind if I ask you a few questions? Please answer these on a scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being no problem and 10 being a big problem.
Parts of my house are uncomfortable or sticky in summer.
Is it warmer when you walk up the stairs? Does it feel sticky some days? Do you notice odors on humid days? Is any room noticably warmer than the rest of the house? Is it hard to fall asleep sometimes because of the heat?

Parts of my house are uncomfortable or dry in winter.
Do you use a blanket when watching TV? Do you wear slippers because the floor is chilly? Is one room a bit colder than the rest of the house? Do you stop using any rooms because they are too cold in winter? Do you use a lot of lotion because of dry skin? Is there a cold waterfall of air down your stairs?

Not a Problem Big Problem
Value:

There are health concerns in my home/family such as allergies, asthma, mold, excessive dust, pests, chemical or mold sensitivities, etc.
We breathe 3000 gallons of air per day, mainly in our homes. Buildings effect our health, for example childhood asthma has been causally linked to damp buildings. By understanding any health concerns, we're more likely to be able to help.

Not a Problem Big Problem
Value:

There are moisture issues in my home such as mold or mildew in the attic, basement, or crawlspace; overflowing gutters; standing water against the foundation; rotted wood, etc.

Value:

Would you like to tell me more about any of those, or other frustrations you have, so I can share them with the person coming to your home?

A free quote is the industry standard and is what we recommend for those scoring less than 12. These take 20-40 minutes.

Comfort Consult
A Comfort Consult helps both you and us better understand what you would like to fix about your house, what your house might need to achieve those, and what it might be worth to solve those problems.

We'll ask a bunch of questions, run a very fun test called a blower door that finds out how much your house leaks and where, and then we'll run a load calculation so that we can recommend the right size piece of HVAC for your home. It's counterintuitive, but smaller equipment makes a house more comfortable, you can read more about that in the HVAC 101 guide I will send you.

No selling will occur at this meeting, a sales quote will be emailed to you along with your Comfort Consult report.

Let's set up our visit. What day/time works for you and your partner? Free quotes usually take 20-40 minutes, Comfort Consults take 3-4 hours.

What days/times typically work best for you and your significant other? Are you off on certain days, are certain evenings best, etc?
